The Muir Valley Project: Behind-the-scenes from weekend one
Weekend one of production on the Muir Valley Project, a mini-documentary about the history of Muir Valley and the importance of the climbing community to give back to the places they use, is in the history books! A HUGE thanks goes out to everyone who helped our crew lug equipment uphill (seemingly both ways) and make the interviews look stunning. However, this is not the end... we're only getting started. We've got three more weekends of production and the best (and most fun) is yet to come! Inquire for details if you're interested in helping out.
I truly was living the dream over the weekend. Waking up on an air mattress in the middle of what used to be an old flea market, skipping the shower and heading straight into the woods. It all felt very 'Ken Burns-esk' without the massive budget. I recently heard Corey Rich, a director/producer specializing in outdoor photography and video, say during an interview that a good story will always find a home. I feel like we're telling a great story and I'm having a hard time containing myself, I just want to share it with everybody.
More coming soon as we progress further into this powerful story this fall. To see more behind the scenes photos from this past weekend's shoot visit my Flickr page.
